A little about the house and location.

The cities of Bath, Swindon and Bristol are all within a 20 minute drive and we are ideally situated for both the Castle Combe Race Track and Badminton Horse Trails. The original house is over five hundred years old and stands in delightful English gardens.

When England was under the influence of Oliver Cromwell all church services were banned and all church bells confiscated. The villagers of Sutton Benger hid the bell from the beautiful Saxon Church in the private house directly opposite. Hence, this is how the Bell House gained its name.

The surrounding area has a wealth of ancient sites, numerous white horses and the standing stones of Avebury. The famous beautiful villages of Castle Combe (Dr Dolittle) and Lacock (Harry Potter) are both within a ten minute drive.
