Our approach to Coronavirus

We always consider the safety and well being of our customers and staff to be of paramount importance, even more so during the current pandemic.

Although we are already proud of our high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene, to further ensure your safety during your visit we have implemented the following additional measures: 

• An intensified cleaning and sanitising regime in accordance with government guidelines
• Initial entry to the building is only permitted through the main reception door
• Other entries and exits will be restricted at busy times
• Ample hand sanitiser distributed throughout the building
• Hotel residents ONLY will be admitted after 9.30pm
• Table service at all times, even if you just want a drink (just like it has been for years in the rest of Europe)

We have taken a decision not to adorn the premises with screens, signs and floor markings but rather adopt a common sense approach. As such we ask that everyone acts sensibly and observes all of the well publicised guidelines for social distancing and hygiene. Our staff members are well trained and will be happy to clarify if you are unsure.   

Restaurant and Bar

We understand that dining out can often be a spur of the moment decision so we are happy for you to use our bar and restaurant facilities as you always have done. That said, to avoid disappointment we urge you to book with us if you can as the number of guests we can accommodate will be limited to observe social distancing guidelines.

Hotel Accommodation

To protect our hotel guests and our team members, we will be asking customers not to travel if they are displaying symptoms of coronavirus. If a guest becomes unwell during their stay, we will be asking them to remain in their bedroom and contact the hotel manager via telephone.

As the hotel restaurant is also open to the public we are encouraging all guests to book breakfast and dinner on arrival so that we can prioritise the allocation of tables.

Whilst we are striving to make your experience at the The Bell House as relaxed as possible we will not tolerate anyone who consistently and deliberately acts in a manner that puts themselves or others at risk.
